While our turkey was cooking in the pit, we took a drive (and hike) out to the wind caves. They were a really amazing little find hidden out in the desert. It was an incredibly beautiful drive out there, with towering rock cliffs above us, and very peaceful. We started hiking up a poorly marked hill with very little expectation for what we would find. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found.
Heather and I had the crazy idea that we should take the boys to Disneyland to celebrate Gavin's 7th birthday. We decided to stay at the Disneyland hotel and were so fortunate to be given a free upgrade to one bedroom suite. The boys loved being with each other and, of course, Heather and I had fun as well. By day two, we were a little worn out (and the park started to get busy), but all in all, it was a fun time! I look forward to doing it again...soon!
Our last soccer games of the season happened on a rainy day. The kids were such troopers...even poor Seth...the goalie...the position where you can't run around to warm yourself up. Go Seth!
