Beach Day!

The Jurgies camped at Red Beach while we were busy with a Friday night wedding and all of the Saturday parade fun. We didn't want to miss the beach entirely, so we went to visit them for the day. It was a good time!

Western Days Parade

The boys were both in the Western Days parade here in town this Memorial Day weekend. Ethan marched with his preschool and Seth rode along on Katherine's Ag Day float. They both looked great! We had fun watching the boys from the sidelines with the Howells, and after the parade the Howell and Gillis families came over for a little BBQ and pool party.

Here is the gang waiting for the parade to begin. Emmy colored with chalk while Allie Dog surveyed the scene. We soon learned she does not like high school bands!

The preschool float was inspired by the story "Zin, Zin a Violin". They had flag and baton twirlers, an orchestra section that rode on a float, and a marching band. Ethan was one of the band members. He marched the entire 4 mile parade route holding his little trumpet made from paper towel rolls.

Lucky Seth got to ride the entire parade route. They had so much fun on the Ag Day float passing out fresh produce from the elementary ag farm along the way. We got an artichoke! :)

When Randy picked Seth up at the end of the parade route. He was carrying this huge turnip! What are we supposed to do with that?!?!

The Shriners are always a crowd favorite!

As always, we had a great time at the pool. Here is Randy pushing Kami across the pool while Seth and Gavin cruise in the other direction.

The big swimmers jumped in the deep end!

Gavin and Austin swam side by side.
It was such a nice day!

Guess Who's Swimming...

...this little guy!

We're so proud of our splashy EZ boy!

Lovin' the Pool

Now that the weather is so perfect, the kids get in the pool just about everyday. It has been so nice that I got in the water for the first time this season! Here are a few shots of recent pool fun...

Mother's Day at the Bay

We had a great time on Mother's Day. It started with a yummy breakfast at the Broken Yolk and then we were off to Mission Bay for a family bike ride and playtime at the park. Randy bought a baby seat for Emmy and put it on his bike (since I am not the best bike rider out there!). Emers wasn't sure when she first sat in it, but after about 30 seconds of riding she just loved her seat! The boys still talk about the bike ride, and they can't wait to go again. Grandma and Grandpa even came along. It was a lot of fun!

Summer . . . We're Ready!

The weather has been amazing! We are definitely ready for summer! Our recent trip to the pool with Grandma was so much fun. Our pool at home is too cold to swim in right now, so the kids were a bit out of practice. I wasn't sure if Seth would remember how to swim and then he dove right in! With a little coaxing from the rest of the family, Ethan mastered the water slide and Emmy loved the splash pad. We can't wait to go back!

Circus in Town

Randy and the boys took Grandma Diana to the circus as an early Mother's Day celebration. Apparently, it was an adventure...

The boys have been talking about the funny clown ever since!

Tired of the Flu

No, this is not my child!

This picture was going around in a "Swine Flu Source Discovered" email earlier this week. I had to post it because my child (the biggest big bro in the Rockwell family) is in bed with a fever right now! We went to the doctor and are on the road to recovery, but right now sure isn't a good time to have the flu! Everyone asks, "Is it Swine Flu?" Poor boy...

Sea World Field Trip

Seth's class took a field trip to Sea World today. Randy was "Field Trip Dad" so a fun time was had by all. Of all the pictures he took, my favorite is the one of the kids taking off! It looks like they are trying to escape, but, in fact, they were only having a skipping race!

Taking Shape

The front entry is starting to come together. Randy finished the flagstone at the front door in addition to building the wall and starting the patio pavers. After the pavers are in, it will be time to put the ledger on the wall and face the columns.

In time, this little place is going to look great! Randy is certainly on a mission here!
