Give a Day, Get a Day!

The Disney "Give a Day, Get a Day" program is such an awesome thing! You do one day of volunteer work, and you get a free ticket to Disneyland. We signed up to do a clean up at Ponto Beach with the Surfrider Foundation. It was so much fun, and it taught the kids a good lesson (many good lessons). Grandma Diane and Grandpa Rick volunteered to work, too! It was such a beautiful morning at the beach!

After finishing our volunteer work, we went to Islands for lunch. We took advantage of the timing and sang Happy Birthday to Randy!

He Lost It!

At 6 years Ethan was the first of the Rockwell children to lose a tooth. He was so excited, and he worked REALLY hard at it. He couldn't wait any longer at asked Mrs. Callahan to pull it out at school. She used the paper towel trick! With "fierce determination" he lost it! What a brave boy!

Ethan cleaned his tooth for the Tooth Fairy and tucked it under the pillow. It was like Christmas Eve...he couldn't wait to get in bed knowing that the morning would bring a special surprise!

Superbowl

Ethan and I made these yummy football rice crispy treats for the Superbowl party we went to today. I thought we made too many, but I was wrong! The were gobbled up pretty quickly!

Supercross 2010!

As with every year, we had an eventful time at Supercross. It was a wet, wet day, but we were lucky to have plenty of clear sky moments. Ethan made a sign for Andrew Short and then the boys got to meet him in the pits.

We were surprised to see Andrew Short right when autograph signing started. Ethan got to show him his sign, and there wasn't even a line. Ethan told Andrew he was going to cheer for him. He was doing so well until just before the end of the race...poor Short! :(

Davi Milsaps took a picture with the boys, too. He went on to win the race!

EZ got a picture with one of our favorites, Kevin Windham. He had a great race until the final couple of laps, too!

The rain started to come just before the main event, and we all put on our ponchos. Gavin was having a blast!

Even Dad put on a poncho! We were snug and warm.

Siamese Cat Ninjas

Ethan has always been the one to have bad dreams. They range from tigers chasing, to green water swirling and skin peeling...yikes! His latest fear is of "Siamese Cat Ninjas." Each night he brings Allie Dog to bed with him after searching the house for ninjas and putting on his bulldog jammies. I guess we won't be seeing "Cats and Dogs Part II"!

Time Marches On...

EZ hits Pala Raceway!

The skies finally have cleared and things are drying out. Randy and Ethan headed out to Pala Raceway to try out the track for the first time. Ethan was so excited!

Stormy Days

We've had a week of heavy rain...but we needed it!

Happy Birthday Middle Man!

It is hard to believe Ethan is six! Last night he had leg pains when he was going to bed. He told us, "My legs are getting ready to turn 6." Then he woke up really (REALLY) early and asked if I could tell if he was bigger! He really is an adorable little guy!

Ethan got a new Fox backpack, legos and a treasure chest filled with construction items. He was so cute dressed up with his tool belt!

Field Trip!

Legoland fun!
Randy went on the second grade field trip with Seth today. Seth worked on gears while learning about simple machines before they took off and explored the park. Lucky boys!
