Emerson and Gracelyn are working on their friendship...Emmy had it all planned out for weeks leading up to our camping trip. They were going to spend time together...Holding hands...Dancing...Playing with Princesses...Tea Parties...Dress up...Hugs...Tutus...Singing...Snacking...Chasing Boys...the list goes on...

But...Gracie had other plans (sorry Heather!)...Rough Housing...Pulling Hair...Biting...Smacking...Snacking on Emmy's snacks...the list goes on...

Summer Pool Parties are the Best

Mission Bay Camping

Despite the fact that we haven't had a very warm and sunny summer this year, our trip to Mission Bay RV Resort was awesome. We were lucky enough to be joined, once again, by the Howell family. They are such good friends. We thoroughly enjoy them. The fact that we both have two boys and a little girl in our families makes it even sweeter!

Mission Bay is the perfect place for a bike ride...Warm...Flat...Fun!

These three boys did an AMAZING job catching crabs in the rocks. They were a little hesitant at first, but then they were old pros!

We can't wait to return next year!

A Walk? Are you kidding?

So...I ran over what appeared to be a railroad spike (well maybe it wasn't THAT big, but it was close) and ended up with a flat tire. I took my car to the shop to have it fixed and they told me it would take about an hour. An hour? Yikes! What am I supposed to do without a car, with three young children, in Escondido, for an hour? The service manager suggested that we take a walk to the park. Double yikes! But...we did it...and after a nice long lecture on safety and following directions with the kids, it ended up being a lot of fun. Who ever knew City Hall had boats? Lesson learned... :)

Beach Day!

After VBS, I loaded up the kids and some friends and we headed to the beach where we met up with more friends!

Emmy was at home at the beach. A perfect fit!

We got two adorable kittens today. I'm not a cat person, but, boy are they cute. These pictures show "Peanut." The other one, a fluffy black cat named Jessie, is still too shy to come out. Maybe that princess is intimidating. I'm not sure Peanut likes the crown!
