First Ride on the Back Yard Track

Ethan was so exciting to see his track being built in the yard. It was finished late in the day, so he couldn't ride it right away, but Ethan was eager to walk it and couldn't wait to get started today. Afterward, he raked it down with Dad. So cute!

Ethan went bowling with Grandma this afternoon and got his first strike!

More from Disneyland...

We were at the park bright and early. Seth was waiting at the rope, and we were the first ones to ride Matterhorn! Yay! The boys each had their own seat, and Emmy enjoyed the first ride too (though she would have preferred the teacups)!

Emmy had been asking to ride the teacups since the day before, and the ladybugs at California Adventure just didn't cut it! Here she is...pure happiness!

We enjoyed a fun, but exhausting two days at Disneyland!

Disney's California Adventure

After checking in at our hotel, we went straight to California Adventure and waited for it to open. Of course, we ran straight to Toy Story Midway Mania. It was Grandma's first time...

I love how Seth loves his Goofy hat. It makes it very easy to spot him out in a crowd!

Our precious little Minnie Mouse insisted that we go on the "swinging" ferris wheel.

Supercross in the Rain!

It was a fun, wet night at Supercross this year!
All of the kids were champs in the rain...parents, too!

Emmy and Mary were ready for the races to begin. Moments later, the rain began...

Much to our surprise (and amazement), Emmy fell fast asleep!

Ethan and Curran goofed around and hid out under their ponchos!

Seth was a happy boy with all of his buddies!

Gavin was ready with his James Stewart sign, his snacks, a poncho and a great, big smile!

After a potty break, Emmy changed into a smaller poncho and fell asleep again!

In the Pits!

As we do each year, we arrived at Qualcomm Stadium with the trailer hours before the races. We camped out with friends, had a bbq dinner, and, of course, we visited the pits before going in that night.

Ethan met Andrew Short again this year and got his autograph. Andrew was really nice to the kids and came out and gave autographs to the kids even though it wasn't "signing time." The same can't be said for Chad Reed who was standing to the right!

We were really lucky to receive a ticket for the Kawasaki team. Here they are with Ryan Villopoto.
