Seth was whining about Emmy "touching" him on the drive home. When we got home, opened the car door and the light went on, I understood what he was talking about. So cute!

Tree Climber!

Tonight, after reciting the Pledge of Allegiance on video, Emmy wanted to have pictures taken of her, too. She was being such a show off...climbing the tree for the first time.

Kids Being Kids!

Tonight was a perfect summer evening in Southern California!
Warm, but not too warm, and absolutely beautiful.

The kids took advantage of the weather and played outside until dark. It all started, just after dinner, with skateboard creations and wagon races.

All they need is a skateboard, a cardboard box and dog leash!

Houseboat Fun on Lake Mohave

As summer came to an end, we took one last trip. This time we went to Lake Mohave and rented a houseboat. This was our first houseboat experience, and it was an absolute blast! We are going to have to make this a yearly tradition!

Mission Bay RV Resort

Once again we had such a nice time at the Mission Bay RV Resort. Our days were filled with bike riding and hanging out and beach. The stand up paddle board was a big highlight. We definitely need to put that on the "things to purchase" list.

Ethan's New Bike

We are so proud of Ethan! He saved his money and bought a new bike. He was very proud of it while camping at Mission Bay. :)

A Week at ART FARM!

It was a perfect place for Seth! He had a week of art and outdoor fun. Here is he is with 'Disco,' the puffy headed chicken!

Our Return to South Carlsbad State Beach

We had a great time camping (in tents!) with the Howells and Jurgies.

and...of course...we had to take a little trip to Golden Spoon for frozen yogurt!

Who Doesn't Love Fair Food?

Grandma and Grandpa (Nana and Pop Pop) took the kids to the fair. They came home stuffed and exhausted. Perfection!

The Alpine Slide

One of the kids' favorite parts about the trip was the Alpine Slide. They absolutely LOVED it, and, surprisingly, nobody crashed!

Emmy came along on "teacher check out day" to help me clean up the room and pack things up for summer. What a sweetie!
